Where it all began
Sarah Loveday,
Designer + Studio Founder
Self-taught designer, stylist and all-round creative with a strong lean towards a bohemian and decorative aesthetic. Here is Sarah’s story:
I grew up on Dartmoor surrounded by wild moorland and nature. It was a busy household (I have six siblings!) but that didn’t put any halt to my creative output. From an early age I was always sketching, painting and making and as a young teenager I shoe-horned my fathers huge old architects drawing board into my bedroom and spent hours copying out logos from the brands around me (a logo nerd even then!). It wasn’t until years later after a music degree, a year in Germany, an aborted masters in musicology and a stint in music publishing with plenty of globe-trotting thrown into the mix that I settled back into design. By then I was so determined that I’d carve out a career I would love, that I frequently studied late into the night teaching myself all the design software, churning through forums and tutorials when I became stuck. I’ve never looked back. I love my job, I love all that it allows me to be and I hold it dearly to me.
“My travels, both near and far, regularly inform and inspire the work I do.”
With my youngest off to school Sarah Loveday Studio has relaunched with a new aesthetic and a new focus. I want to use my creative flair to help brands grow and connect with their audience. I also want to share my love of the decorative aesthetic by working on some exciting projects and collaborations.
Outside of my creative world I’m a wife and a mother of three primary school aged children. I live in Leamington Spa and dream often about my next travels to the East.
